Unskilled gardener position in the Plant Section at the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics

The section Plant Molecular Biology at the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, Aarhus University, is looking for an unskilled gardener from 1 November 2025 or as soon as possible. This is a 12 hours per week position until 31 October 2027.

You will be assisting our scientists and green house staff with seed cleaning and screening a large plant population
 

Previous experience with organizing large collections of seeds and phenotyping of plants, is an advantage

The gardener will be affiliated to the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics.

The Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics is part of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Aarhus University and comprises research within the areas of Plant Molecular Biology, Neurobiology, RNA Biology and Innovation, Protein Science, Cellular Health, Intervention and Nutrition. There are currently 75 full time scientific staff and 95 PhD students. The department is responsible for two educations: Molecular Biology and Molecular Medicine with a yearly uptake of 160 students in total.

Formalities and salary range

Salary and terms as agreed between the Danish Ministry of Taxation and the Confederation of Public Employees – the State Sector (OAO-S Joint Collective Agreement), as well as the organizational agreement between the Ministry of Taxation and The United Federation of Danish Workers (3F) concerning salary and employment conditions for agricultural workers, horticultural workers, gardeners, and experimental staff.
