Jobprofil: DTU Bioengineering søger en Enzyme Biotechnology Specialist, der har erfaring med forskning inden for enzymbioteknologi samt praktisk erfaring med proteininformatik, kloning, proteinengineering og biologi. Den rette kandidat vil være ansvarlig for træning af nye medlemmer, tilsyn med ph.d.-studerende samt laboratorieplanlægning og dokumentation. The job

The job also includes training of new group members and visitors in technologies and protocols used in the laboratory as well as supervision of selected PhD students and BSc/MSc students.

The position has direct reference to the Enzyme Technology group leader, Head of Section Protein Chemistry and Enzyme Technology, Prof. Anne S. Meyer. 

Our expectations of you/Required qualifications

  • Research experience in work-flow planning and data documentation in enzyme biotechnology with a relevant educational background, and expertise in enzymology and molecular biology techniques.
  • Practical experience with protein informatics, cloning, protein engineering, expression in microbial systems, and purification, preferably with different types of enzymes, notably microbial redox and carbohydrate processing enzymes. 
  • Experience with assay development and high throughput techniques.
  • Practical experience with research planning and documentation using electronic lab book systems. 
  • Strong technical, organizational, interpersonal communication and management skills, and exceptional reliability.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both speaking and writing.

The position is a full-time position 37 h/week. Starting date is September 1. 2025.

The workplace is DTU Bioengineering at DTU Lyngby Campus. 

The contract is for 2 years.
