ABOUT THE TEAM / ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced, people‑focused Tech Manager to lead and grow our scrum teams in Denmark and nearshore locations.
As Tech Manager for MitID, you ensure the right skills and capacity are in place to meet customer needs. You work closely with Product Owners, Product Managers, and Scrum Masters to build strong, collaborative teams in an agile setup.
The role includes local leadership in Denmark and responsibility for nearshore teams, covering hiring, onboarding, and continuous capacity planning.
Primary workplace: Teknikerbyen 5, Virum. Minimum three days per week in the office.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As Tech Manager, you will:
- Lead and develop application development and maintenance teams in Denmark and nearshore
- Take full people management responsibility, including performance, feedback, and growth
- Build a strong, open, and psychologically safe team culture
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, and team setup
- Ensure the right capacity and competencies to meet delivery demands
- Work closely with product and agile roles to support roadmap delivery
- Set and follow up on goals and OKRs
- Support scaling, team structure, and ways of working
- Handle senior stakeholders and strong personalities professionally
QUALIFICATIONS AND YOUR PROFILE
Experience & Leadership
- 5+ years of Tech people management experience.
- Proven track record in coaching, performance management, and talent development
- Experience building or scaling teams, ideally across locations.
- Experience with agile methods (Scrum/SAFe).
- Danish (speak, read, write) fluency is required without exception
- English (speak, read, write) full professional proficiency
Technical Background (preferred experience)
- Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, SQL and Angular
- Relational databases, preferably Oracle
- OpenShift and container‑based platforms
- CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
- REST APIs and related architectural principles
- Test and QA tools like ReadyAPI, Playwright, and PractiTest
- Jira, Confluence, or similar tools for issue tracking and documentation

- Creates a people‑first environment where individuals feel safe to speak up, give feedback, and take ownership.
- Works in a structured and pragmatic way by setting clear goals, prioritising effectively, and ensuring decisions turn into action.
- Focuses on execution by removing blockers, making timely decisions, and holding themselves and others accountable.
- Stays calm and effective in a fast‑changing environment, adapting plans when needed and helping the team navigate change with clarity and confidence.
