We are looking for Shipyard Workers:

• Riggers

for marine industry in Denmark

Scan Con offers full time jobs at the Shipyards on Reparation and New Build Departments.

Key tasks:

• Assessing load characteristics

• Physically attaching and detaching loads

• Controlling movement of equipment (heavy equipment)

• Maintaining a safe work environment

• Inspect all rigging equipment and structures for damage, wear, and proper function to ensure safety and reliability

• Choose the correct lifting gear, such as ropes, cables, pulleys, and winches, based on the load’s weight, size, and the specific site conditions.

• Communication with crane operators and other crew members using hand signals or other devices to coordinate movements and ensure a smooth operation

• Conducting risk assessments and adhering to occupational health and safety procedures to prevent accidents and protect personnel and equipment

Skills:

• English – must be able to communicate in English

• Strong technical knowledge of rigging equipment, load dynamics, and safety procedures

• Practical abilities like hands-on equipment operation and meticulous inspection

• Crucial problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills to manage unpredictable situations

• Vital communication and teamwork abilities to coordinate with a crew and ensure safety on the job site

Experience:

• Experience from shipyards

• Education or professional experience in a given position
