e Administrative Employee/Project Coordinator at SODAS (50-80% FTE) – Copenhagen Center for Social Data Science (SODAS)The Copenhagen Center for Social Data Science (SODAS) is seeking a motivated administrative employee/project coordinator to join the center from 1 August 2026 (sooner or slightly later date might be agreed upon). The position is part-time (between 50-80% FTE), depending on the candidate’s preferred workload, and offered for one year, with the possibility of extension.

About SODAS

SODAS (https://sodas.ku.dk/) is a permanent research, teaching, and impact center at the Faculty of Social Sciences (SAMF), combining traditional social science and data science in the new interdisciplinary field of Social Data Science. SODAS has taken home several research projects using a large variety of methods. SODAS involves and collaborates with researchers from all the faculty’s five departments as well as other Danish and international centers and departments. We have an international profile and are an active, vibrant, and young place, with English being the working language. The chosen candidate will be particularly responsible for the administrative support of a research group at SODAS, funded by various grants including an ERC Consolidator grant, as well as providing support to the center administration in collaboration with the management team. Experience with administrative processes and systems in a university environment or similar organizations is considered a plus, but not necessary.

Key re

sponsibilities include:

  • Provide administrative support to research projects in collaboration with the PI, the funders, and the center administration
  • Coordinate operations and ensure smooth administrative workflows
  • Assist with financial monitoring, including processing invoices and tracking expenses
  • Support project reporting and assist with preparing timesheets for ERC project staff
  • Coordinate and support content updates to the project website
  • Organize meetings, events, seminars, and travel arrangements for staff and guests
  • Liaise with university departments (HR, finance, legal, etc.)
  • Assist with onboarding new employees and visiting researchers
  • Coordinating the setup of SODAS’ further education courses
  • Handle general inquiries, ad hoc administrative tasks
  • Identify administrative needs proactively and ensure timely follow-up on tasks, deadlines, and processes

Your profile

We are looking for someone who can work independently and take responsibility for administrative processes. The ideal candidate will bring a positive attitude and a service-oriented approach. We expect the successful candidate to have the following qualifications and attributes:

  • A relevant academic degree, preferably a Master’s, or equivalent experience in administration
  • Positive, responsible, and service-minded personality
  • Good working knowledge of English
  • Collaborative and contribute positively to the working environment. An understanding of, or experience with, scientific research and possibly European-funded projects is considered a plus, but not necessary
  • Detail-oriented and comfortable working with budgets and financial follow-up in collaboration with the financial controller

Salary and terms of employment

The position is part-time (50-80%, corresponding to an average workload of in between 18.5 hours and 29.6 hours per week). The appointment will be made in accordance with the current collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Academics in the State, where the classification will be as a special consultant or in accordance with other relevant collective agreements. There will be the possibility of negotiating supplements according to qualifications.
