At the Department of Mathematical Sciences, faculty of Engineering & Science, at Aalborg University, we are looking for a postdoctoral researcher to join our group working on numerical methods for fluid mechanics. The position is for three years, is based in Copenhagen, at AAU’s waterfront campus in Sydhavn, and starts 1st of October or soon thereafter.
In this position, you will take a leading role in developing and implementing novel computational models within a boundary element framework, coupling the BEM with models for flow separation, viscous drag and cavitation. There is room to shape both the project direction and your own research profile. The project involves a collaboration with the propeller specialist Everllence.

Shortlisting will be applied. This means that subsequent to the deadline for applications, the head of department supported by the chair of the assessment committee will select candidates for assessment. All applicants will be informed whether they will be assessed or not. We are conducting interviews in late-August. The interviews involve the presentation of a case on numerical flow problem.

Salary and terms of employment
Salary and terms of employment are in accordance with the collective agreement between the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations and the state (AC collective agreement) (only in Danish) and protocol on certain terms of employment of academic staff at universities (only in Danish).
There is a mutual probationary period of 3 months for the position.
