At The Technical Faculty of IT and Design, Department of Architecture, Design and Media Technology (Copenhagen Campus) a position as part-time lecturer in Lighting Design is available for a period of 3 years from September 1 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.

The Department of Architecture, Design, and Media Technology has as its goal the development of an innovative cluster of engineering-based environments for education and research which integrate creativity, engineering and technology within the disciplines of architecture, urban design, industrial design, digital design and interactive media. The department is a leading research and educational environment in Denmark that addresses the challenge of the interplay between creativity and technology, and develops new areas in research and education directed towards the end-user.

Qualification requirements

Employment as a part-time lecturer requires either relevant practical experience at a high level which has not been achieved through an academic appointment at a university or employment in an principal academic position at another university. When employed due to relevant practical experience, you must have in-depth, up-to-date knowledge of the subject/subject’s applications that has been gained or will be gained through employment in the profession. Teaching qualifications are included in the assessment of applicants for a part-time lectureship.

Your competencies

Your experience from practice (minimum 5 years) must be anchored in international Lighting Design companies, likewise research experience must be from international projects. Knowledge that you can pass on to the Lighting Design students and thereby bridge between practice and academia in your teaching.
